Urban Cowboy's line dance company was first started on May 17th 1994. Shane Alisi-Jones was the first principal of the club after having danced with Mustang Boot scooters. I started dancing with Urban s back in 1996 and soon moved on to teaching in joint with Shane. In July 2002 I took over the company from Shane and continued to be the main principal and instructor for the club. I have a real passion for line dancing and find it really rewarding learning and then teaching dances to my class people some of which have been dancing with Urban s since its inception way back in 1994.

This year sees the company celebrating its 21st year, a milestone for many companies let alone a dance company and in Perth it is along with one other company the longest established dancing group. Hopefully body willing (the knees are getting a bit worn now) I can continue to dance and teach for many years to come. Apart from dancing I also run a mobile mechanics business which takes up the rest of my time along with family, friends and the dancing takes a bit of juggling to fit in with everything else. I am lucky to have a few close friends who help me with classes otherwise I would not be able to manage.
